At IFCC, we aim to detect cancer early through various awareness campaigns. After launching the Colon Screening Programme, our goal is to ensure that the key at-risk groups, people aged between 50-69 years, continue undergoing this screening test. That’s why we are continuing to fund this pilot programme by the Ibiza and Formentera Health Area, in an effort to detect colon cancer early.
In addition, over the past year, we have launched various projects, thanks to the financial contributions of our members and the funds raised at events. These include acquiring several vehicles for the Palliative Care Unit at Can Misses Hospital, purchasing several pieces of equipment for performing colonoscopies at Formentera Hospital, hiring a physiotherapist for the Lymphoedema Unit at Can Misses Hospital, and developing, printing, and distributing various guides with advice and care instructions for oncology patients, among other actions.
We have also funded the “humanisation” project for the rooms in the oncology ward at Can Misses Hospital. This project aims to create a more comfortable and less intimidating environment for newly diagnosed cancer patients, allowing them to resolve their doubts and fears in the same space. This initiative also helps create more welcoming spaces for palliative care patients and their families.
Our association relies on support to continue its work. Become a member of our group.
Our members, who contribute through annual donations, are especially important in keeping the Association running. You can become a member with an annual fee starting from €10.
