This charity event, scheduled for Sunday 23 March, will commence its route at the Church of Sant Miquel and traverse the distinctive natural landscape of this locality.
The Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer Association, IFCC, is organising a new charity walk this Sunday 23 March around Sant Miquel de Balansat to explore the natural landscape of this distinctive village in the north of the island. This excursion, which is expected to last approximately two hours and forty minutes, will follow a circular route that begins at 10:30 and both starts and finishes at the Church of Sant Miquel. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to enjoy this charity walk, which does not permit pets, for a donation fee of five euros – the entire amount of which will be dedicated to the prevention work and support for those affected by cancer in the Pitiusas carried out by the association.
The walk will commence at the Church of Sant Miquel de Balansat and continue along Carrer Des Pont until crossing a small footpath. Next, the route will follow a dirt track leading to a woodland where one can appreciate the distinctive wildlife of this area of the island. Finally, the group will return once more to the Church, bringing an end to a morning filled with hiking, camaraderie and solidarity.
The Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer Association is promoting these charity walks to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity in preventing this disease and to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Its president, Elizabeth Gail Fear, explains that “through these events we aim to promote healthy habits with the goal of strengthening our health and establishing a routine that enables us to lead a full and balanced life.”
Those interested in taking part in this event, which does not accept pets, can register via the website of the IFCC. It is recommended to attend this activity wearing comfortable clothing and footwear, and to bring water along with a snack or fruit.
