Golf Ibiza hosts the III Annual Helen Watson Memorial Golf Tournament in aid of IFCC this Saturday
Winners of this event, sponsored by the Consell d’Eivissa and the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council, will receive prizes donated by well-known island businesses
This Saturday, 11th May, Golf Ibiza will hold the third Annual Charity Golf Tournament in aid of the Asociación Ibiza y Formentera Contra el Cáncer, IFCC from 8:30 a.m. On this occasion, the tournament will be known as the Helen Watson Memorial Tournament, in honour of Helen Watson, who was president of the association for over a decade. Registrations can still be made via the form available on the IFCC website or at the Golf Ibiza facilities. The fee is 50 euros for members and 75 euros for non-members. This sporting event, sponsored by the Consell d’Eivissa and the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council, will award five prizes, donated by local supportive businesses, divided into three categories: A and B, each with first and second prizes, and a single Scratch prize.
After the tournament concludes at around 3:00 p.m., the awards ceremony will take place, celebrating the five categories. Special prizes will also be presented: for the longest drive (both male and female), the ball closest to the pin, and the best junior player.
Following the awards ceremony, a raffle will be held with gifts donated by renowned brands on the island. Tickets are available for five euros each, and winning numbers will be posted on the IFCC website and Facebook page. Any unclaimed raffle prizes will be announced on IFCC’s social media. Winners of the tournament categories and the raffle will receive vouchers for dining experiences, beauty and wellness treatments, jewellery, and other surprises provided by supportive local brands that eagerly participated in this sporting event in aid of the Asociación Ibiza y Formentera Contra el Cáncer.
In addition, Hyde & Mondrian hotels will provide golfers with refreshments and snacks throughout the tournament via strategically placed food trucks. They will also offer guests drinks, snacks, and paella during the awards ceremony. Supporting hotels, including Ocean Drive Ibiza, Ocean Drive Talamanca, and Hotel Mediterráneo, have created promotional packages for athletes travelling to the island for the tournament, helping to internationalise this event.
In last year’s edition, held at the Golf Ibiza facilities, a total of 72 players gathered, raising over 10,000 euros to support IFCC and other associations in improving the lives of cancer patients in the Pitiusas.
